Movies in the Park - Kids Movie

The Clinton Arts Council is VERY happy to partner this week with Corn Bible Academy and Western Plains Library System to show a fun kids movie at McLain Rogers Park Ampitheater!

Come early to catch CBA 9th grader, Kaysa Carpenter, performing beginning at 7:30pm!

Bring your family, friends, a blanket or chair and watch a movie while sitting on the grass under the stars. Movies begin at dusk and all movies are FREE! Concessions will be available for purchase.

This week we will watch a Disney Pixar animated movie about a girl named Riley (Kaitlyn Dias) who is born, and in her mind, Joy (Amy Poehler) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith) are created. As she grows into a young kid, the emotions Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black) and Disgust (Mindy Kaling) form, each one coloring the memories that power the islands in her mind.

SPECIAL GUEST!

We will be having a special guest Kaysa Dion perform before the movie. She will start around 7:30pm.

This small-town girl with a big voice and an even bigger heart started entertaining audiences at only 18 months old. Born and bread a performer, soon-to-be 15 year old, Kaysa Dion has spent the majority of her life on stage performing at various regional venues such as the Oklahoma Centennial Rodeo Opry and Six Flags Over Texas, and eventually opening up for major acts including Neal McCoy, The Oak Ridge Boys, T.G. Sheppard, Lorrie Morgan, and Ronnie Milsap.

Kaysa will be performing a little country, pop, 80s, Christian, and her new demo cover is her plan. As of right now her set list is the following:
Xxxs and ooos
Who I Am
I'm Gonna Praise the Lord
House that Built Me
Walking on sunshine
I'll Fly Away
Come on over
Let Me Be There
This ones for the girls
This little light
American heart
Mountain of love
He knows my name

Come celebrate Shark Week with us as we go back in time to the summer of 1975 where people were afraid to get in the water... This masterful, visceral and realistic science-fiction suspense/horror-disaster film is about a giant great white shark that arrives on the shores of a New England beach resort and wreaks havoc with bloody attacks on swimmers, until a local sheriff teams up with a marine biologist and an old seafarer to hunt the monster down.
